Chat with tips
At tiptalk.chat, tips live inside the chat. One button, an amount, and it lands on screen instantly.
The whole point of tiptalk.chat is that any conversation can turn into a tip chat. If someone is making you laugh, helping you out, or you simply want to acknowledge their time, there is a button. No switching apps, no opening a payment app, no jumping to another tab.
It runs on Tipsys, our virtual currency. 1 € buys 8 Tipsys, and 10 Tipsys convert back to 1 € when you cash out. Whoever receives tips collects them in their wallet and can turn them into euros once they reach the payout minimum.
It is direct — no clunky gateways, no jumping to another app. You tap a button, pick an amount, and an animation appears in the chat so the other person sees it right away. No after-the-fact confirmations, no “you received a payment” emails.
There are preset tips (0.25 €, 0.50 €, 1 €, 2 €, 5 €) and the option to enter a custom amount. If you want to add a short note with the tip, it goes alongside it: a thank-you, a joke, whatever you like.
When you get lots of tips in a single conversation, they all show up in your wallet as separate entries. That gives you a clear history: you can see when each one arrived and which room it came from.
To start receiving, all you have to do is sign up (in under a minute), connect a payout account and open a room. What comes next is just chatting — the platform handles the rest.
The system works just as well for creators with a big audience as for professionals giving a one-off consultation. If your work is measured in conversations, having tips inside the chat cuts friction to the bare minimum.
Frequently asked questions
Who pays the fees on a tip chat?+
The fee is covered by whoever receives the tip (30%). Whoever sends the tip pays exactly what they see on screen, with no extra charges — the amount they offer is the euros that get delivered.
What is the minimum to withdraw tips to my account?+
The payout minimum is 300 Tipsys, equal to 30 € gross before the fee. Once you are past that threshold you can request a payout as many times as you want.
How do tips work?+
Tips are called Tipsys. 1 € buys 8 Tipsys. When someone sends you Tipsys they build up in your wallet, and you convert them to euros whenever you want to cash out (10 Tipsys = 1 € on the way back to euros).
Do I need to sign up to use tiptalk.chat?+
No. You can create a room with just a nickname and a name, and the other person joins from the link without opening an account. You only need to register if you want to receive tips and cash them out to your account.
What happens to my messages when the room closes?+
When you close the room (or after 24 hours), we delete every message, photo and video that was uploaded. Nothing stays on our servers beyond the tip transaction record, which we are required to keep for tax purposes.
