tiptalk.chat works as a token chat: Tipsys inside, euros outside. You buy, you send, you cash out.
The tokens on tiptalk.chat are called Tipsys. The conversion is simple: 1 € equals 8 Tipsys when you buy. On payout, 10 Tipsys equal 1 € (the difference is the fee that keeps the platform running).
When someone sends you Tipsys, they build up in your wallet. When you reach the minimum (300 Tipsys = 30 € gross), you convert them to euros and withdraw them to your bank account. The payout goes through our payment provider and normally lands in 1-2 business days.
What you see inside the token chat is instant: each tip appears as a mini-animation right away. No waiting, no end-of-month settlements, no invoices stuck in an inbox.
The tokens are ideal for creators because they decouple the decision to “support this person” from the decision to “enter my card again.” Your audience buys a pack and then leaves tips with one click, without going back through the payment gateway.
There are packs of 40 (5 €), 80 (10 €), 160 (20 €) and 400 (50 €) Tipsys. The bigger the pack, the easier it is for your audience to keep the habit without topping up every time. If someone wants a different amount, that’s up to you: the room accepts custom amounts.
Because the token chat is native to the platform, there’s no risk of a payout failing because of a problem with an external gateway. If you have Tipsys in your wallet, they’re yours.
On taxes: payouts go to your account and are personal income subject to income tax in Spain (or the equivalent in your country). We give you a monthly summary in your dashboard so it’s easy to declare them.
