Private chat for one-to-one
A real private chat: a one-to-one room, no stored history, with video and tips in one place.
tiptalk.chat is basically an old-school private chat, but better built. You are the one who decides who gets in: without the link, you don’t reach the room. And even with the link, if the creator closes it, it stops working.
By default, nothing that happens inside is kept once you close. We delete the messages and files when the conversation ends, and after 24 hours the room closes on its own. That’s the difference from any social network: here what you send trains nothing and doesn’t sit on a server forever.
If you want even more privacy, you can add a PIN to the room so the link alone isn’t enough. That way, even if someone copies and shares the link, they can’t get in without the code.
The private chat supports text, photos, short videos, voice calls and video calls. All in the same room. If you go from chat to video and then back, nothing drops: it’s still the same thread.
Unlike the chats built into social networks, here there are no ads, no recommendations, no “people you may know.” It’s just the chat. The company doesn’t monetize your conversations — it monetizes tips, and only if you decide to use them.
On the technical privacy side: connections run over TLS, files go through encrypted storage, and payment webhooks meet Stripe Connect standards. It’s not magic or vague promises: it’s the standard stack, properly configured.
When you close a room, a process runs that clears everything tied to it: media in storage, messages in the database and the room itself. The only thing that survives is the tip ledger, which is a mandatory accounting record.
Frequently asked questions
Is tiptalk.chat really a private chat?+
Yes. The room is only reachable by whoever has the link (and the PIN if you turned it on). The content is deleted when it closes. We never list rooms in any public directory.
Is the private chat end-to-end encrypted?+
Connections use end-to-end TLS from browser to server, but messages pass through our backend so they can be delivered to the recipients. It’s not pure E2EE like Signal, but the content is deleted when the room closes.
Do I need to sign up to use tiptalk.chat?+
No. You can create a room with just a nickname and a name, and the other person joins from the link without opening an account. You only need to register if you want to receive tips and cash them out to your account.
What happens to my messages when the room closes?+
When you close the room (or after 24 hours), we delete every message, photo and video that was uploaded. Nothing stays on our servers beyond the tip transaction record, which we are required to keep for tax purposes.
Which browsers does it work in?+
It works in up-to-date versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and Brave. For video calls the browser will ask permission to use your camera and microphone the first time.
